Encouraging Independence in Year 2

In Terms 2, 3, and 4, we will be encouraging our Year 2 students to become more independent.  This will include unpacking their bags in the morning, and packing their belongings ready to go home in the afternoon, by themselves.  

This will assist them in their transition to middle school where this is an expectation.

We ask you to support your child by allowing them to walk up to the classroom from the main gate in the morning by themselves.  As they become more confident you could meet them after school at the gate as well.

We have had a great first term together in Explorers 2.
