Lamb visit

Last week we had a visit from Kiran's 4 lambs.  We were all very excited to see them and they were very good, apart from a little accident!

Eco Explorers

This term our big idea is caring for ourselves and our environment.  

This will include an exciting trip to Sumner Beach. 
The children will investigate objects found on the beach and identify various
ways we can all help to care for our coastal areas.

You will have received a permission slip and parent help form in regards to this trip. 
Please can you complete these and return to your child’s home room teacher asap.

In Mathematics, along with Numeracy our strand focus is Measurement.  

We will be learning about capacity, length and area.           

In Physical Education we will continue with our usual

fitness programme and we will also focus on specific skills for 

our Athletics Sports.  More information about this 

later in the term.

It is compulsory for children to wear a uniform hat at school this term.  

Please ensure your child has a clearly named hat every day.  If you would 

like to personalise your child’s hat to make it easier for them to identify that

would be great. If your child is not wearing a hat, they will not be allowed to
play in the playground. 

If your child is scheduled to have a reporting conference this term you will
receive a letter outlining the time and booking details.  Keep an eye out for
this in the next couple of weeks.

Music with Mrs Murray

We had fun last week learning about beat and rhythm.

Welcome to Term 3 in Explorers 1, 2, 3 and 4   




In Mathematics along with Numeracy our strand focus
is Measurement. We will be learning about time.   

                        

In Physical Education we will continue with 

our usual fitness programme and we will also         

focus on ball skills and skipping.  

We have a Kelly Sports workshop and a cricket 

skills session this term.

Eco Explorers

This term our big idea is looking at recyclable materials and how we might combine these into a wearable artwork for our whole school Wearable Arts show.  

We may require some items to help create our wearable artwork.  We will let you know what items our pods may need.

           

Court Theatre

We are looking forward to a performance from the court theatre later in the term.

If your child is scheduled to have a reporting conference this term you will receive
a letter outlining the time and booking details.  Keep an eye out for this in the coming weeks.

This term each syndicate leader will have 1 day release to support Bernadette May
while she is Acting Principal.  Michelle will be out of the classroom on a Monday and
Susie Keenan will join our team for this term.

Welcome back.

We had a fun start to the term with a Kelly Sports session.

Year 0-4 Zone Cross Country

We had a fantastic day at the cross country on Tuesday.  Well done to all the runners, you were all amazing!
